We have had a fantastic start to the new school year with our mini project on ‘The Witches’ by Roald Dahl. We have used our creative, literacy, numeracy and digital skills to produce lots of fantastic work, including poems inspired by William Shakespeare and models of The Hotel Magnificent. Da iawn pawb!
This week, we have had a great time learning to control our new Sphero Minis. We even challenged Mrs Morgan and Mrs Gwillt to a maze race!
We have had great fun this afternoon learning how to control our new Sphero robots. We learnt to drive them, and code them using simple instructions. We particularly liked it when they changed colour! Da iawn pawb!
Our Bronze Ambassadors are doing a fantastic job running a lunchtime cricket club. Da iawn!
We have been busy taking part in the Minecraft challenge. Our task was to redesign an area of the school 100 years in the future.
KS2 had a fantastic afternoon attempting to break the Guinness World Record for Curly Wurly stretching. Unfortunately, none of us managed to break the record of 4.26m; our winner was a fantastic 1.98m long!
As part of our topic Incredible Inventions, Year 6 have been learning about bacteria and medicines. We made our own ‘blood smoothies’ and discovered how our blood fights infections!
We managed to dodge the showers and enjoy a fantastic afternoon of junior sports! The winning team were Warden (red) – llongyfarchiadau i pawb!
